So many guests have just loved the tranquility and wonderful views here and have left us feeling totally refreshed and relaxed and we really hope this will be your experience too. Sleeping two guests, this one bedroom cottage is exceptionally large and spacious with vaulted beamed ceilings and is uniquely designed and decorated delivering an absolutely 5 star standard .
Situated within the grounds of an old Victorian Manor House and on the edge of a pretty village the setting is just perfect, private and with stunning views it offers an opportunity to relax and unwind or to take part in our on site llama and animal related activities should you prefer some gentle exercise.
Starting at just £799 for a 7 night stay with use of the hot tub with no booking fees booking direct with us makes so much sense!
The cottage and surrounding garden is just perfect for relaxing but very convenient as it is only a five minute walk to the heart of the village with great walks on the doorstep and a 25 minute drive to Lake Ullswater and a 40 minute drive to the historic town of Keswick gives you lots to do in your day. Only approx 45 minutes will get you to the Scottish Borders, Yorkshire and Northumberland…. you are spoiled for choice in every direction.
No concerns about social privacy or shared use of facilities and your cottage is fully deep cleaned between guests for your complete safety. This also includes the sanitising and re filling of our wonderful hot tub that all our guests have adored!
Surrounded by our resident friends… llamas, alpacas, ponies, Bengal cats, chickens and ducks and our friendly Lancashire Heeler dogs you will find yourself totally immersed in our lovely countryside set in the picturesque Eden Valley.
With the flexibility of booking to suit your own timescales, we offer short breaks that can be from just two nights so you can take advantage of grabbing a quick break and recharge.
The longer you stay the more cost effective it is for you!
We have also now introduced a flexible stay policy with any day arrival and a minimum of just two nights stay that are all priced accordingly with no booking or cleaning fees.

We love the personal touch so all bookings are done direct with ourselves as owners where your requirements can be discussed by phone or email. If you would like to book using our booking calendar this is really simple as you can check availability and book your dates but if you would to take advantage of paying in full at the time of booking if it is more than 12 weeks before your arrival date we offer a 10 percent reduction on your cost. All payments are done by bacs transfer on booking. The bank details for this are on the booking form. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received so it is advisable to complete the process as quickly as possible to avoid the date being taken by another guest.

From The South or North exit the M6 at junction 40 or A1M from Scotch Corner and follow the A66 towards Penrith. At the roundabout follow the A686 signed Alston and passing through the village of Langwathby. Melmerby is approximately 9 miles from Penrith on the A686.
On entering the village turn first left and follow the lane up round to the left. You will pass the Church on your left and bear slightly right and go through the large gates of Ravenstone Country Manor. Parking is behind the front garden of the Manor house.
